National Trust Great British Walking Festival Bath. The National Trust has launched a new short walk around the city of Bath ahead of its Great British Walking Festival. Lasting roughly one and a half hours, the three mile circular stroll starts in the city centre and heads along the Kennet and Avon Canal.
It features a number of spectacular views, including the view over Bath from Bathwick Fields which is managed by the National Trust.
National Trust ranger Rob Holden said: “We have trialled the new walk with locals and tourists and the response has been hugely positive.
“Although we have the National Trust’s most downloaded walk with the six mile Bath Skyline walk, we felt that for those who didn’t want to walk that far or didn’t have the time, a three mile walk would be perfect."
“It incorporates city and countryside and has the wow factor with the views from Bathwick Fields.”
The Great British Walking Festival runs from September 19 to October 23.
A series of guided walks will be available on the Bath Skyline and at Prior Park Landscape Garden during this time
